Hi experts,
I have a an issue with a DTP. When, the request is loaded to the DSO, i can see the following:
So i understand, that there is a filter on this DTP (selection conditions) : all the records that have a ZZGEST initial have to be excluded.
The problem is that i found in DSO some records with an empty ZZGEST, i checked the transformation, there is no treatment on that fields, only direct assignmet.
Can someone confirm that what i see in selection condition is what i understood?
If so, i am going to delete those records in end routine to be sure to not corrupt data.
Thanks.
Amine
Hi Mohammed and Karthik,
I opened a thread yesterday on the following link:
http://scn.sap.com/thread/3628093
Unfortunately, i couldn't see what are the filters set on that DTP.
Thanks.

Hi
That's not an issue when it comes to DTP or info package. There is no need to transport DTP from development to production system. You are allowed to create any number of DTPs with any combination of filters.
So please ignore what was existing earlier.
Try to understand what is required from business perspective and create a new DTP which should be fine in your case. rather than wasting time in finding our what the previous person has done.

Karthik
This is already an issue with the other thread and even for that, we suggested to create a new DTP. Other than going to business, there is no option.
Did you execute this DTP and check what is in the manage screen of the DSO.
Raman has already suggested to check the bottom of this screen, Do you have an ok button

Karthik
Hi Karthik,
Raman has already suggested to check the bottom of this screen, Do you have an ok button
Yes i have an ok button
Did you execute this DTP and check what is in the manage screen of the DSO.
the screenshot is what i see.
In fact there are inconstenties between what i see on manage level and DSO.
Amine
Hi
Did you click on the ok button of that screen. What comes up later. provide this screenshot
What inconsistencies you find between the manage screen and the data in DSO?
Please provide the below details in sequence
1) Provide the screen of extraction tab of the DTP
2) You have already executed the DTP - provide the screenshot of header tab of the monitor
3) Provide the screenshot of the manage screen
The we will proceed further

Karthik
Hi Karthik,
What inconsistencies you find between the manage screen and the data in DSO?
On selection condition, i see the following : ZZGEST(E/EQ)' ' and all records in DSO have a ZZGEST (not empty);
Here what i have when i click on the ok button as you asked me, i will post the other screenshots in the following message:
Thanks.
Amine
Hi Amine
Got your problem. You, me and all were in an assumption that your filter is including ZZGEST = blank, but it is excluding only. Sorry for the misunderstanding and thanks for making me dig into this properly.
There are two ways to filter a record. One is to include it in the below screen and selecting the option not equal to (I/NE)
The one that is shown in your screen is in the exclude selection which means excluding the value equal to blank (E/EQ)
Hope this clears your problem. So the selection screen, dtp monitor, manage screen, data in the DSO matches now.
Your filter selection is ZZGEST NE Blank. Create a new DTP and load it now.
Let us know if you have any other doubts

Karthik
Thanks a lot guys for you support.

Yes, your assumption was right, Need to exclude ZZEST which are blanks.
Need to load the data from source except ZZEST = blank

Hi Amine
Check the data once again the DSO. It seems you will have data only with blank ZZGEST. You are executing the DTP with ZZGEST = Blank.
You need to exclude right. It should show ZZGEST (I/NE) ' ';
Change the filter and try again
