Issue with SSO implementation

Hi,

I currently have a SAP BI implementation that runs on Kerberos. In order to integrate it with SP 2010, i have installed the IOMS kit. After going through the installation process and configuration process as outlined at http://docplayer.net/22065245-Single-sign-on-and-active-directory-sso-with-integration-option-for-microsoft-sharepoint-xi-3-1.html, I am not getting the following error "Account Information Not Recognized: An error has occurred propagating the security context between the security server and the client. Please contact your system administrator".

Has anyone come across this issue?

That doc is way outdated, the error indicates that some server is not setup for kerberos delegation.

So to set this up you need to have the BI server setup with kerberos KBA 1631734 and delegation of the BI account set to any service.

Then you need to follow Microsoft documentation to setup Sharepoint with kerberos (note there is a huge difference form Microsoft SSO and Microsoft kerberos SSO with delegation enabled.

Finally newer versions of sharepoint will only allow "claims based authentication" instead of kerberos and that's not compatible with BI.

A simpler setup is just setup BI with AD SSO KBA 1631734, and plugin opendocument links to sharepoint. There are much less issues and points of failure with this config.

    Regards,

    Tim
