PSA data deletion when delta infopackage failure

Hi Gurus,

I have a delta infopackage and it is triggered. The delta load failed after a longtime with no records in psa. If I have to repeat it should I delete the request from psa. My system is BI 7.0.

Regards,

Rajesh.

Hi Rajesh,

Since you are using 7.0 there is no need to delete the request from PSA,just mark it red and trigger the IP again.

Post this when the DTP is triggered it will automatically pull the green request ignoring the red one.

Hi Amit,

In case if we delete the red request from psa and retrigger the IP will it have any effect.

Hi Rajesh,

No issues. You can go ahead and delete it.

The concept here is if we mark it as red the system knows that the delta was not successfull and when you trigger it again the delta records are extracted again.

Amit

Hi Amit,

If we delete delta failed request psa, we will loose the delta data. we need to make the technical status red and retrigger. thru that we will get last and present delta records.

Hi,

Deleting red request from PSA, means you will delete the delta data from RAS7.

For failed delta request data you will lost.

So never delete failed delta request. Just make failed request status red and re trigger your delta info pack.

it will asks for repeat delta, yes and continue.

that brings last delta and present delta records.

Thanks

Hi Rajesh

No, don't delete the request. Please delete it from the target and use the option update with scheduler to reload the same psa request into the target.

Did you check the error on why it has failed. Could you provide the error details.

Hi

So do you mean that the DTP failed while loading from PSA to target? and why it has happened?
