Hi

We have stage componants in the production order in the production storage bin. After words that componant qty is changed to zero in production order. So componant is not being consumed on the confirmation of the production order.  As this material is used for production order but not conusmed against that & in syste it is at production sotrage bin. How can we clear that material from production storage bin.

Can we do physican inventory for Staging i.e. production storage bin. Please let me know.

Thanks,

Kiran

During consumption if stock is not in the correct storage type / storage bin defined in the control cycle then system stamps  a negative Quant in storage type 914 and bin number (production order number) as per the movement type (261) setting.

Check the stock of storage type 914 you will find some negative Quant there. if negative Quant exist then use LT01 transaction to adjust the Quant in between the production storage bin and Storage type 914

It does not really sound as if you have thought deeply enough about the issue.

What is the natural purpose of a physical inventory?

To check stock quantity and to correct the book quantity accordingly.

If you would follow this approach, then you would go out and find your material, count it, enter the count in SAP, post the difference and you would realize that there was no difference. How has the situation changed then for you?

But you want clear the material from production storage bin. So you actually want enter a wrong quantity in a physical inventory to make this bin empty. Would making wrong entries be the right approach for a standard situation that can happen everyday?

Certainly not.

Do  you really not know how to move stock from one bin to another bin? Compare to school, I would say this is entry stuff for first graders.

A TO is the usual document to instruct a warehouse worker to move material from A to B, LT01 with movement 999.

By the way, please use a spell checker
