Schedule lines in IDOC LSMW

Former Member

Hello people.

I am creating a LSMW for sales order (VA01) import with idoc. I need to use the fields Delivery Date, Goods Issue Date and Loading Date that are located in the Schedule Line Data on item level.

Any suggestions on how to map these fields into my LSMW?

/Erik

Why LSMW?

What is the business process?

Can you elaborate your requirement?

Thanks, JP

Hi Jyoti, thanks for your reply.

I am using LSMW for migration of open sales order from legacy system to SAP. The file exported from the legacy system contains delivery date, goods issue date and loading date that I want to add while doing the import of these orders.

Just out curiously, if you are using

Then how and from where IDOCs came into picture?

Thanks, JP

Idoc is one of the "Object Type and Import Method" options for LSMW along with Standard/Batch Input, Batch Input Recording and Business Object Method (BAPI).

So, for the import I need to map source fields from my input file to fields in the idoc.

I am pretty new to LSMW so don't ask why idoc was chosen over the others as this is a decision made by someone with more experience with LSMW than me.

Thank you for your input, but it is not the import of LSMW via idoc that is the problem in itself as I manage to do that correctly.

What I need help with is specifically mapping the mentioned fields in the schedule lines. Your reference to general lsmw posts using vendor and employee master data as example will unfortunatly not help me on my way as my inquiry is related to VA01/Sales Order.

I understand that. I provided those blogs/doc for your reference and further analysis.
