Multiple Transportation Planning point and Shipment Creation

Dear All,

As per the business requirement the transportation is handled in 5 different locations and hence 5 transportation Planning points ( Based on Plant naming conventions ) have been defined in the system.

The transportation functionality is handled by the external  freight forwarders . We are facing a challenge in identifying the concerned transportation planning point and the corresponding outbound deliveries during shipment creation.

Could anyone provide some details how to handle the issue?

Hi Ravi,

The Transportation Planning point is an organizational element defined at the client level. It can be assigned to the company code for Shipment cost settlement purposes. In case of VT01N- the system won't know before-hand as to which Deliveries you are going to select and hence populating the Transportation Planning point is based on Plant+Shipping point combination is not possible.

Instead, try using VT04 online or through batch job wherein you can use the selection criteria, Grouping Criteria, Data and Options to achieve the same.

The requirement is to make the Transportation Planning point as a default one for specific Plant and Shipping point combination during shipment creation in VT01N.

Kindly suggest.
