Infoset Query Performance Issue

Dear SCN,

I have created infoset on top of 2 cubes (FIGL,FIAP) with inner join, in report we created nearly 10 RKF's, in one RKF we used exclude selections, up to here everything is fine . if i execute this report it is taking too much of time to get the results. So i have created aggregates on AP cube and executed the report multiple times. But my query not recognizing the Aggregates which i have created, it is showing usage as 0. I have placed only vendor characteristic on rows.

There is no other performance techniques are applied except aggregates which i have created (on only vendor characteristic).

Please let me know the techniques to improve performance of this infoset query.

Note : We have very huge data in FIGL.

And also let me know if there is any standard report for Vendor TDS Payable.

Regards,

PRK.

In situation like this, you are bound to hit performance issue. Building infoset on top of cube is not really advisable. However, nothing can be done on infoset as it's just a structure. You can implement few query optimization techniques like Cache, use of 0INFOPROVIDER, fetch less data in first run, have as little as possible CKF/RKF, do some no. range buffer etc.

      HI Gupta,

      Thanks for your quick reply.

Yes.. Infoset hampers the performance, but i don't have any other option😭. I have already activated the CACHE, As of my knowledge infoset won't have data packet dimension to use 0INFOPROVIDER characteristic.

      Looking for more inputs😈,

Yes, you are right on 0InfoProvider. I just mentioned few general checks.

We do not have specific input related to infoset. What you can do is to check other things if they are right or now. Check these links for more details>>

Also, please check sap note 380304 for more details.

      Rgds..
