Hi ,

I have to delete the data manager log files so could please any one help me with the  right program for  BPC 7.5 version.

I found the standard program "ZUJF_DLT_DM_LOG_FILES" but which is not existing in 7.5 version.

Hi,

Thanks for the info..

The program mentioned in the above link provided by you is not existing  in the system and I have mentioned the same when I posted the first conversation in this blog.

Vadim already mentioned that may be because of SP issue.

It's not "may be because of SP issue" it's exactly because of SP issue.

I have this program in both BPC 10 and BPC 7.5

You probably missed the link

This guide will demonstrate how to mass delete data manager log files based on a retention period.

Download Transport Files (ZIP 11 KB)

to download transport files that, imported in your BW system, will create the program.

Vadim, you're 100% right about the standard program, but I have the custom one ZUJF_DLT_DM_LOG_FILES (see links) working fine in 7.5sp7

It's always possible to write custom program, but when the official one exists it's strange to look for custom

You're right, but an upgrade is not always an option at least for us

If you stop upgrading your system on the regular base (may be not each SP, but...) then you will be in a real trouble at some moment

P.S. For 7.5 look on UJF_FILE_SERVICE_CLEAN_LOGS

Ups, SE38: UJF_FILE_SERVICE_CLEAN_LOGS

What do you have for this mask: UJF_* - screenshot?

What is your BPC NW 7.5 SP?

We are talking about BPC 7.5!!!! Not about BPC 10.

For BPC 10 read here: http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1908533

For CPMBPC800, upgrade to SP12;

For CPMBPC801, upgrade to SP05

Hi Pratibha,

But why not to delete logs from Excel interface - View Package Status? Just select multiple logs and in the right click menu select Delete...

Hi Vadim,

Thanks for you quick reply.

The issue is,The table UJD_STATUS has the logs of more than 76500 records and I am not able to see any data manager  package status in  view package status. When I did more search on this issue,I got to know that the if table exceeds the 76500 limit  then we will not be able to look at old package status and needs to delete the logs. The program I mentioned in the previous conversation i snot existing.

Instead of deleting the logs everytime going to BPC,it is manual work so if there is standard program to delete then we can schedule for deleting the 2 years back logs.

Vadim, you need to read Pratibha's reply to your post. No status logs appear in the 'View Package Status' screen when the table has over 76500 records. When nothing is visible, nothing can be selected. In addition, the program you later offer is not available and neither is upgrading to another SP at this juncture. Does anyone else have a viable solution?

Hi Kurt,

"In addition, the program you later offer is not available and neither is upgrading to another SP at this juncture."

It's available if you upgrade to the minimal mentioned SP (SP13 for BPC 7.5 and SP12/SP05 for BPC 10 800/801). From SAP point of view if you have some bug solved in some SP then it's solved

If you don't want to upgrade - then you have to write the program yourself. May be based on code:

But the code provided in How-to is very old (2010) and you may have compatibility issues.
