activate order as direct procurement checkbox

can anyone let me know how we can activate order as direct procurement check box?

i can select it

how i can select it? how i can activate it? why this button inactive in our SC screen?

Hi,

'Order as Direct Material' is for ordering materials for stock and is enabled when one adds an 'Internal Goods/ Services' item to the shopping cart.

Create a shopping cart > Add Item > Internal Goods/ Services > Select an item with a product id.

Once the check box is selected, the box and the product ID becomes non-editable. Please check the link for details: Order as Direct Material checkbox unchanged - Supplier Relationship Management - SCN Wiki

i know that but when i select material from product id the Order as direct material button is gray and i can not  select the check box
