visual basic in bo 4.1

There is visual basic dataprovider in bussiness objects 6.5(old version) which i need to implement the same in sap bo 4.1.

How can do get the same in sap bo4.1 webi reports. If bo4.1 doest supprot visual basic then how can i create the data provide instead of that. I dont know visual basic atleast to understand what code they have written.

Please help me how to approach the solution.

Just to Add, You may required to add one more intermediate activity which could push your data from VB macro to a relational table. Then you can create a table on top of it and start reporting.

First of all - you need to understand what the VB was used for in 6.5.
BI4.1 doesn't have VB integration like in 6.5, but it has much more functionality making almost all 6.5 use cases possible without it.

Hello Prasad,

I think the VB application was fetching data from some database in the older BO application. Rather than keeping the VB dependancy, I think you can see other logic to get the same data to BO.

Not sure about your current system. If you can provide more information, I think you will get better suggestions here.
