Hi,

When the MRP runs it is considering the Source list validity even if the Scheduling agreement is invalid. Can you please advice if this is standard SAP behavior and if there exist any configuration to control this ?

Hello Achin,

The system looks for information in following order

1. Quota arrangement

2. Source list

3. Scheduling agreements.

in P2P cycle.

The behavior that you encounter is standard one.

Thanks.

Pratik.

MRP does not search through the schedule agreements.

MRP looks into the source list, it checks if the source list item has a MRP indicator 2

and is valid at the requirements date.

Only if this is positive the schedule agreement number can be known and taken.

Hello

Your question is very generic, so can you please provide a more detailed description of your issue?

What do you mean by "scheduling agreement is invalid"?

It is not valid on the date, the target quantity has been exceeded or what?

In the meantime, I wrote the following document with the most frequent issues reated to MRP source determination that may be useful to you:

Hi,

The Scheduling agreement validity date is Invalid. But the source list's validity date is Valid for this Scheduling agreement with MRP ind as "2".

MRP is generating the schedule lines for the expired SA as the source list's Validity is valid.

Just wanted to confirm if there is any config driving this or this is just standard SAP behavior.

Thanks,

Achin

Hello Achin

Please observe that MRP checks the validity according to the requirement date. This is stated on point 2 of the mentioned document. Therefore, check on transaction MD05 is there is any rescheduling message for this scheduling agreement with a date where it is still valid. It means that the scheduling agreement was created for a requirement on this date.
