Hi Amit,

May be you refer this wiki link and get your issue fix.

The other imperative point here is, Solman 7.0 is obsolete and you should move to 7.1 asap.

Once you have this, you can take advantage you SAP support and latest documents to fix such issues.

Hi,

Here I describe the issue and requirement in detail.

We have PI system DEV and TST 7.1 EHP1 , Solman 7.0.

I just want to send my PI TST  in SOLMAN for MOPZ as I already did for ABAP stack.

Now want to send system Info of JAVA stack.

In PI Test

NWA ->configuration ->  SLD Data supplier

to send and collect Data setting are as follows:

http://PIDEV:50000

that is configured for PI DEV system.

So I went to in PI TST SLD

SLD->Admin->Data Supplier

Added SLD for SOLMAN

http://solman:50000

After this step how to send my PI TST system info to solman.

Please help.

thanks and regards

Hi Amit,

In this case:

Your PI Test is pointing to PI DEV SLD. And you are creating SLD bridge from PI TEST SLD.

You should create Solman SLD bridge in SLD Data supplier, of PI DEV SLD. Not PI TEST.

Do that, and push data from PI TEST SLD , NWA using "Collect and send data". Once done, you can see data in Solman SLD.

Let us know the results.

Hi Amit,

If you want to send PI TEST java data to SOLMAN SLD,Then try below

1)Logon to Visual admin of PI TEST-->serverX --> services -->SLD Data suplier .

2)In right hand side you will give SOLMAN details,User and password.(Take screen shot before chnage as you need to revert back after pushing data to SOLMAN)

3)Then SAVE after that in above of right hand  click on "Push data to sld".

4)Then check technical systems in SOLMAN SLD

5)Revert changes in  Visual admin of PI TEST as before.

Hi Amit,

Are you trying to use the SLD attached to your PI system as your central SLD, with all your systems reporting to it, or are you just trying to get your PI system data into the SLD attached to your SolMan system? In other words, which SLD do you intend to be the source for the LMDB/SMSY landscape data inside SolMan?

Matt,

I just want to add my PI test system  in solman for MOPZ.

SLD Data supplier is configured for send SLD data to PI DEV system.

So I have added one SLD in PI test system using DATA supplier for Solman. Now using this SLD bridge I want to send my PI test system information into Solman system.

Hope this clears issue.

Thanks and Regards

Hi Amit,

If your PI is dual stack, use RZ70 and push your ABAP system data to Solman SLD. From NWA, trigger data collection. This would update your Solman SLD with your PI Test system data. Verify the same in Solman SLD. You will then find this data also populated in LMDB.

Create product system, logical system in LMDB of your Solman, do landscape verification. Add your logical system to a Solution group. With that you'll be done. You can then use MOPZ for that system.

Hope its clear.

Shahid

All right, I'm still trying to ensure I understand your landscape setup correctly. You have three SLDs: one in PI DEV, one in the new PI TEST, and one in SolMan. Only one of these should be the source for landscape data to SolMan. By default it's the SLD in SolMan, but it doesn't have to be. In fact, using your PI system may be a better choice overall, especially if PI is on a newer NetWeaver release than SolMan.

So, what I'm not clear about is which SLD are you currently using as the data source for SolMan's SMSY data? By the way, SolMan 7.0 is long since out of support; you really need to upgrade to SolMan 7.1, but that's a whole other project. The landscape data synchronization procedures between SolMan 7.0x and 7.1 changed significantly.

If your central SLD, the one that provides data directly to SolMan's SMSY, is the one attached to your PI DEV system, then you should, at least for now, continue to use it that way. Configure your PI TEST system, both ABAP and Java sides, to send data to the PI DEV SLD. If you're using your SolMan SLD as the central SLD, then send it to that one, however, you should then consider an SLD migration project to use one of your PI SLDs instead, due to PI having a higher NetWeaver release (SLD in 7.1 and higher has much better synchronization functionality than SLD in 7.0x (which includes SolMan 7.1)).

I think this is what you're really asking, is how to ensure that either PI DEV or PI TEST is the central SLD, how to migrate that central SLD function to PI, and how to ensure the other SLDs (mainly the other PI systems) are synchronized with the central SLD. I'm going to recommend that you have a look at my blog post , and when you've read that, look at these other blogs and documents by others:

,

,

,

.

Pretty much everything you're trying to do is detailed in these documents, although some of the instructions are definitely geared for SolMan 7.1 and will need adapting for SolMan 7.0x.

Hi Matt,

Thanks for Update.

We have Two SLD.

One for PI DEV and TST in PI DEV system.

second is SOLMAN only.

Here I want to send my PI TST sytem  information to Solman SLD.

Your SolMan SLD is not capable of receiving synchronized data from other SLDs, because it is too old of a version. There's not much you can do about that; even upgrading SolMan to 7.1 will still keep your SLD at 7.01. However, it is capable of being a source system for other, higher-level SLDs (i.e., your PI SLD) that can pull the data in a synchronization job. So, you will definitely want to configure all your systems to push data to SolMan SLD, and then have your PI DEV SLD pull data from SolMan SLD.

Or, alternatively, abandon your SolMan SLD and configure SolMan to use your PI SLD instead. This might be a better long-term option, except in this case you wouldn't want your SLD on a DEV system, as it needs to have high availability for the rest of your landscape. A PI production system could be a good choice.

Still, in the meantime, from your PI Test system, the configuration is done from NetWeaver Administrator, which you access from a browser via https://<host>:<https port>/nwa. Once in, navigate to Configuration -> Infrastructure -> SLD Data Supplier Configuration. Here you can see the current configuration and status of the last send job. You can't directly configure it here, but there is a link near the top, where it states For help with configuration, click here. Clicking that "here" link gives some good documentation on how to configure it.

Full details are also found in this document. Go to chapter 2.2, "Gather SLD Content - Configure the Self-Registration of a Technical System."

Hi Amit,

You will have to follow procedure described in SAP Note 1631346 to push your PI domain data to Solman SLD. Though this has to be followed when you configure PI monitoring in Solman, you can still use this method to push PI domain data to SLD.

Hope this helps.

Hi,

May be this helps,

Configuring the SLD Bridge - System Landscape Directory - SAP Library

  1.  Choose Administration Data Suppliers.

  2.  If you want the SLD data supplier bridge to forward system data that is received from data suppliers to the default sld/active namespace of this SLD server, set the Update Local Namespaces parameter forsld/active to true.

  3.  Choose Administration Profile.

  4.  From the Sectiondropdown box, select datasupplier.

  5.  Enter SAP gateway host and gateway service.

  6.  If you want the SLD bridge to send data to multiple SLD servers, choose Administration Data Suppliers Add SLD.

  7.  Enter the URL and logon data of the SLD server you want to add and choose Save.

Hi Vagesan,

I already followed that step and make solman url entries in PI system to add SLD.

After that How can I trigger the SLD Data supplier to get PI data in Solman?

Thanks and Regards

Amit

Hi Amit,

May I know the versions of both systems.

If this is solman 7.1 , it will push the data immediately

In Solman 7.0 , check the landscape fetch job is executed as background job.
