Hi MM experts,

n IPO Release strategy, it is configured like this.  Release indicator Y is blocked with changeable indicator 4 and Release indicator Z is Released with changeable indicator 6.

One PO is created, released, and outputted (print through ME9F).

Now user is changing the PO in the qty field; it is increased (10 EA to 15 EA). New release is not triggering. As per the changeable indicator 6; it should trigger new release strategy; Its not triggering.

pl help, Thanks in advance

Regards

Subbu

Yes. I've just tested that now, in my system, it is triggering new release strategy.

Have you checked the status tab, the order value got increased in PO ? Else please share screen shot.

You have already some problem in release strategy in this discussion

Have you solved that issue ?

Check these all things with a user who is having SAP ALL authorization..

i have checked. its not authorization issue as the basis team confirmed that the user has the required authorization object M_EINK_FRG assigned with rel group R5 and Rel code M1.  the issue not solved yet

This means that 2 standard actions do not work in your system, I have a strong feeling that own coding is responsible for these effects.

In any case your screenshot does not give any evidence that there was a change.

You should have posted a screenshot of the PO change logs, header and item level, along with a screenshot showing the customizing of your release indicator with the percentage next to the 6 . Only this way you enable your supporters to help you solve your issue

Hi,

In po release strategy my characteristic value remains in the same range after the change in the po. that is only qty change from 10 ea to 15 ea (characteristic po value has >0). so no chance of triggering new strategy but near changeable indicator 6; i have given the % as 20. So after outputting in ME9F and changing the po qty ; it should retrigger a new strategy for the value change. but it is not triggering. As asked by you, i hereby giving you the configuration screen, and po changes screen . pl help

Can you post the change log from PO header too, since the release strategy in a PO is at header level.

You have given a screen shot for PO number 700000028 in your initial discussion. But you are giving the changes log for PO number 700000030.

And you have given the percentage as 20. So system will consider the 20 % increase of value.

Check it again and revert back.

Hi

I have tested with 2 po numbers in dev server. one is 710000000028 and other is 7100000030. Now i am giving you the complete details with screen shot for 7100000030. item qty changed from 10 ea @ 33 inr to 25 ea @ 33 inr.  As i have given 20 % near indicator 6 it means only value change within  20% increase only will retrigger a new strategy otherwise not.  If I am wrong , pl correct me. po header changes screenshot for 7100000030 given below

Are you using version management ?

I can see you last header changes is "Purchasing document processing state" got changed as 01 and its version showing 1. And you have changed this at 17:32:27.

And you've also changed the line item at same time 17:32:27.

So I can guess your PO got a new version.

yes , version management is active ; after changing the qty in the line item ; version 1 is created.

Check the SAP Note 1961482 - Reset release strategy when version number is set as Characteristic in Customizing.

It says that you can re-trigger release strategy when the version is complete.

Go to ME22N, in version tab, just click on the option "Complete Version"

Then click save and then check release strategy tab. Your release strategy will be reset.

Thank u very much . I did this; and now it is solved. but one thing you please tell me, how to mark the version completed field mandatory in po as user has to do it manually everytime after changes. I have tried with system message MEDCM 14 and 19 to put error message. is there any other way to make the version complete indicator field or reason for change a mandatory field ?

You can make the reason for changes field as mandatory from version management settings.

Path OLME-Version Management-Set Up Version Management for External Purchasing Documents

Double click on the Line item (which has the document type for your PO)

Then user has to enter the reason for changes when new version will trigger.
