Configuring two Enterprise in one Instance of E sourcing

HI Experts,

We have a requirement in which 1 more enterprise Context have to be configured in the existing instance of e-sourcing.

My doubt is that new enterprise context would be isolated from the existing context and it will not affect the existing one in any means?

Kindly throw some light.

Appreciate your kind help!

Thanks,

Kushagra A

Yes additional contexts can be added and they will be separate from the others. Each context (enterprise) will have its own set of configurations, master data, users etc. As long as the requirement is to have completely separate implementations this is possible.  Keep in mind users are NOT shared across contexts so if a particular user needed access to both they would have 2 logins.  Also, each context has its own cluster configuration and it will need a unique hostname, so some provision for this will be needed as well.

HI Gary,

Thank you for your kind response.

I have one more question, Users are not created in the System, Users are coming from LDAP. So I was wondering how System will recognize to which context User belongs. Looking forward for your kind response.

Thanks,

Regardless of where the credentials are stored, there is a user record in the system for each user.  These user records are tied to a specific context (enterprise)  Further each enterprise has its own Cluster and directory configuration again this will allow completely different authentication schemes for each enterprise should that be needed.  Lastly, The URL's for each enterprise are different For instance   tenant1:50000/sourcing/fsbuyer/portal/login  The second enetrprise might have a URL like:

tenant2:50000/sourcing/fsbuyer/portal/login.  Based on this depending which URL you use will resolve to a specific cluster hence a specific set of directory configurations and the proper set of users for this context.

Regards,

Gary
