Hi,
We have a R/3 4.7 system with application installed on one linux box and database installed on a different linux box. We have installed saphostagents on both the servers. SAPOSCOL is also running on both the servers.
But when i go to st06 transaction i could not find any data for DB servers.
I got to know from some blogs that this could be possible with ccms agent SAPCCMSR installation on database host.
I downloaded the required file from market place but now stuck with SAPCCMSR.INI file which needs to be created to proceed as per help.sap link.
I am really confused on how to proceed from here.
Really appreciate if some one could help me in completing my configuration.
Hello Srujay,
SAPHOSTAGENT has already an integrated sapccmsr, you should deactivate it first before you can register the standalone sapccmsr. Please have a look at the note:
1491115 - OS monitors ST06n, OS07n do not display data in CEN system
and according to this note you should set the parameter
ccms/enable_agent = 0
in the host_profile of the SAPHOSTAGENT, restart SAPHOSTAGENT with "saphostexec -restart" and install classical sapccmsr agent as described in the documentation:
"Installing an Agent on a SAP Web AS 6.20 Java Instance/Other Hosts"
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_snc700_ehp02/helpdata/en/a8/adf7409b9d8531e10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm
sapccmsr.ini file is created automatically by the agent, why you are trying to create it?

Thanks Alwina,
I was referring to link
Monitoring Operating System Data with CCMS Agents (SAP Library - CCMS Agents)
where it says me to create a SAPCCMSR.INI file and a OScolfile.
So do you mean if I disable the entry in Host profile and register the ccms aget it will show data in st06 for database server. There is nothing else that is required other than this
Hello Srujay,
thank you, I understand now. You can configure this file after you have registered the sapccmsr agent and in case if you want set some special options to monitor OS data. If you just register sapccmsr agent at the system it will already deliver the OS data to ST06. You need then to decide, if you want to set some special filters.
Regards,
Alwina
