env : OS-windows7 64bit db-Oracle10g PowerBuilder-version 12.6
Problem : In Powerbuilder 12.6, the saved Password is disappeared at DB Profile setup as below, hence they hit ORA-1005 null password given;logon denied.
They don't want to enter the password everytime. Is there anyone advise how to solve it ?
Our customer is very new to PB 12.6 and in the previous release it won't happen.
Many Thanks!
I have the same problem for 3 days. Reinstall did not solve my problem. Today I run PB with "Run as Administrator" and suprisingly it started to save again the password.

Hi All,
I am facing the same issues in PowerBuilder 12.6 Build 3506. I am trying to connect the Database Oracle Database through ORA Oracle interface, the password is not saving in the profile and I can't even connect to Database.
Is there any fix or workaround for this? it is killing my time.
I never faced this issue before.
Thanks in Advance,
Balu

Balu,
This is a known PB 12.6 issue fixed with latest EBF (build 4035).
Read this thread for more details: http://scn.sap.com/thread/3715493

Hi All,
Due to this known issue, it blocks us to install PB 12.6 at all because it happens irregularly.
How's going cr770618 ? I'm new here so I don't know how to check if cr770618 if it's fixed or when it will be fixed.
Additionally, is there anyone know if there is any major bunch of patchset for PB12.6 ?
Thanks a lot.

I saw this happen once with the error message and once without, but have not been able to reproduce since. I tested with Win7 64-bit.
I tried with both ORA and O10 connections.

I am getting the same error and it's not a bad install. Was working fine for a week and then it started happening out of nowhere causing me to re-install PB 12.6. This is not the only issue currently happening, be careful if using edit mask functionality in datawindows as it will round numbers and also enter weird characters in some string fields.
Our customers are not happy at all with this which might force us to revert back to PB 12.5.

Installed PB12.6 yesterday. Has anyone reported this issue before:
Please restart IDE: The cryptography module loaded incorrectly. The password for the database and application server profiles will be lost.
This appears in statusbar when I create SNC database profile.
Of course IDE as well as computer were restarted multiple times.
Windows Server 2008 SP2
PB 12.5 installed and works fine on the same computer.

As the message text the status bar indicates... error loading cryptography module ..password get lost.
So this looks like a bad installation / setup to me.

Hi,
I tested with PB 12.6/ W7 64 bits and ORACLE 11g but could not reproduce.
The password is saved as in earlier version.
Regards.
Abdallah.
