Manual PR should be checked MRP Parameters

Hi Experts

I have set MRP parameters Re Order Level, Minimum Lot size and Maximum Stock parameter for a Material. Now I can generate PR automatically but my management requirement is that we should be able to create manual PR also and i know that we can create the same but management wants to control the quantity of manual PR through MRP parameters.

Please suggest how can i achieve this goal.

Hello Ajay,

Your this issue is also be done by ABAP consultant. Because there is not standard message or standard functionality available to provide this functionality. So ask the ABAP consultant to achieve this.

You are right but i am not able to convince management regarding this. They wants that there should be option to create manual PR also.

"double" requisitions happen often because of a lack of knowledge. People do not know the global processes and do not know where to check to see if there is already a requisition or even an order.

If someone got the authority to create requisitions then he is also a kind of responsible for his doing, hence he should be trained well.

If you would run MRP again for this item then you get an exception message, an unprocessed MRP created requisition would even be removed automatically.

It is quite normal that manual creation of requisitions is still allowed, even you run MRP, especially to cover an extra demand that is not yet included in any of the planning parameters. To restrict this manual requisition then to the normal values maintained in the MRP view of the material makes it impossible to solve exceptional situations without changing the material master.
