Profit center doc not generated for material transfer

Hi,

Our requirement is to transfer a material which has a profit center 'a' to a material which has profit center 'b'. But while transferring the material through mvt type 309, the profit centers are displayed in the generated accounting document, but profit center document is not generated for the same. Since we are moving from one Profit center to another profit center, the value in profit center of sending material should be decreased and the value in profit center of receiving material should be increased.

Hi Manoj,

you are in new GL or classic GL, if you are in new GL system wont create any profit center document.

You can create a profit centre document using t.code.9KE0 for transferring the balance between PCs.

Hi Manoj,

As you know that transferring balances from one PC to another completely  with in controlling part.  Until unless you post any document from FI or MM  side system will not generate any Accounting doc for any transactions.  And we do not have any direct postings in controlling. Thank you,

Hi Manoj,

The profit centre document will not generate with balance sheet accounts. It will generate if the document has any P&L account. In your case the inventory has transferred from A to B and here the inventory is a balance sheet account. Hence it will not create any document in PC.
