Integration Gateway Eclipse Kepler:Error in deployment for SOAP WS after selecting target runtime as SMP 3.0 SP04

Hi Experts,

As we all know that SMP 3.0 SP04 and PL01 has been released and i tried the below sample example of OData modeling for SOAP WS in Eclipse kepler.

Let me share what i have tried:

While creating the project, i selected Target Runtime server as SMP 3.0 SP04 as below

         

done with odata modeling and while deployment, i get this error :

"Deployment can not be completed for project ...."

After looking at eclipse logs, it says

 Generation started for Article_Service project
Wed Sep 17 15:53:26 IST 2014 | Generation and build failed for Article_Service as validation of resource is failed 
Wed Sep 17 15:53:26 IST 2014 | Deploy skipped; project list is empty 
Wed Sep 17 15:53:26 IST 2014 | Generation, build and deploy failed for task f856dcae-8205-4071-9ea3-aa01e676874a

I have tried with other SOAP Web service also but same issue/error.

Note

1: This issue is coming only for when i select Data Source as SOAP WS, i am able to execute with JDBC, ODC

2. If i select Target Runtime as "SAP Mobile Platform 3.0 SP03 or lower" then i am able to deploy same OData project successfully.

, Is this issue related to Eclipse Kepler or SMP 3.0 SP04?

This issue has been resolved now. It didn't work when i tried to update "SAP Mobile Platform Tools" plugin in eclipse.  (Help>Check for updates)

I uninstalled the same plugins and reinstalled, then it worked.

Plugins details:

API toolkit for SAP Mobile Platform    1.0.5

OData Modeler    1.0.4

I still don't see any update in Eclipse kepler and getting the same error while deployment.

so which version do you have installed right now? The newest versions available are

API toolkit for SAP Mobile Platform     1.0.5

OData Modeler                                    1.0.4

Yes, i have installed latest version only.

I just tried again to install same plugins in new eclipse Kepler workspace but same error while deployment.

Hi Jitendra,

before the update last week I was able to reproduce the error.

Now, witht he update installed I was not able to reproduce your error anymore. I used the same project in the same workspace. The ARTICLESERVICE is running successfully on SMP3.0 SP4 for me.

Have you tried reinstalling eclipse from scratch?

Hi Bjoern,

Yeah, i tried again from scratch even downloading Kepler.

Did you tried to deploying existing project (after changing its Target Runtime to SP04) or you created from scratch and selected Target Runtime SP04?

My current SMP version is SP04 PL01

Hi Jitendra,

thanks for reporting this. I checked our current developments and this error is planned to be fixed in the coming update of the SAP Mobile Platform tools that are planned to be released in one week from now.
