now the quota is getting deducted , i have generated the comp-off through PCR
before it was HRS=1 if employee works on off day, quota get generated for 1 hours so it was throwing above error . after changing to HRS=8 it getting generated to 8 hours in IT2006 and employee takes comp-off its getting deducted in IT2001

As your communicated if employee works on comp off he should get 1 day comp off leave which means you have to change your quota type Time/measurement unit to days and check the base entitlement table V_T559E and not required to change the PCR HRS=1 to 8 i.e quota will be generated with measurement unit days further you have to check table V_556R_B unit of relevant absence quota types should be in days.
If you wanted to generate quotas in hours then you can continue with your HRS=8.

Hi,
Have you linked your quota type with deduction rule, then deduction rule have you linked with counting rule and then attached that counting rule to absence type.
In your 2001 infotype when ypu are applying com off it's not using deduction. So may be in you linkage there have a problem.
Check once.
