Hello Experts,
Currently we are having SAP PI 7.31 SP07 Dual stack system. My questions as below,
1. Can we upgrade our current system to SAP PO (Java Only)..?
2. What would be the latest version of SAP PO to which we can upgrade our current system?
3. Is there any documentation, links available for step by step upgrade steps?
Waiting for response..!!
Thanks
Amit
Hello Amit,
there is no direct upgrade path from Dual-stack to java only available. Only possibility is a new installation and phase out if you want to switch from dual stack to java-only.

Hi Florian & Hareesh,
Thanks for your help !!
I have one doubt,
If there is no direct upgrade from dual stack to JAVA only, then opting SAP PO ( with PI dual stack) would be better option..?
Which one would be better option among SAP PO (PI - Java only) or (PI - Dual stack)..??
Regards
Amit

Hi Amit,
Definitely go for a single stack, so a SAP PO system.
Please note that talking about a SAP PI system is always dual stack.
When you go for a single stack, you will save costs for hardware, gain much performance, simplify setup etc. Also, this is the SAP will go in the future.
Within a SAP PO system, BPM and BRM are included. SAP PI does not have those on board.
So, again, go for a single stack
Kind regards,
Dimitri
