Merging Contact Persons

is it possible to perform data cleansing (merging) for contat persons as well as for accounts? Which steps are required?

Hi Thomas,

Contact person application separately is not provided with the Merge functionality. Go ahead in the Accounts search and key in the role BUR001 for contact persons to get listed and from here you can merge. Whatever Thomas has mentioned is absolutely correct.

I investigated a little bit more:

The mentionned button is not in contact person search result but in account search result. But nobody stops you from searching for contact person in account search like I show in the following screenshots.

Hello Thomas,

I did quite a lot of mergers of contact persons. When I came into that project there was already a button active in contact person search result view when two contact persons were selected which navigated you to the data cleansing page. I don't know how that button was enabled. Maybe after you do the steps described in this document the button is available. In the DO_PREPARE_OUTPUT-method of that view where the other buttons are defined I can't find a hint about this button.
