SAP HANA - Why partitioning is not allowed if tables is referenced

Hello Experts,

HANA issues error if i try to partition the table which is referenced by other table. Is it not possible to partition table which is referenced(foreign key) by other table?

At the same time if i add foreign key after the table is partitioned, it works fine. Is there any issues creating foreign key after table is partitioned?

Hey Suren,

please post your code, table definitions and the error message.

With a SP8 HANA instance I had no issues partitioning a table that has been referenced by a foreign key.
