SAP HANA - Why partitioning is not allowed if tables is referenced

Hello Experts,

HANA issues error if i try to partition the table which is referenced by other table. Is it not possible to partition table which is referenced(foreign key) by other table?

At the same time if i add foreign key after the table is partitioned, it works fine. Is there any issues creating foreign key after table is partitioned?
