Unable to park document after calculating the W.Tax

Hello Friends,

Using tcode F-90 to park the Asset Document, while parking the document with calculated withholding tax values of Vendor, the Park option is got grayed out. The function it self is not active to Park the document, only it allow when withholding tax are not calculated for vendor line and single line of vendor is available the park function is active.

Can any one please explain me is it standard functionality of the F-90 (Park Document with W.Tax Calculation for Vendor line item)?

As I have already checked the authorization part too. I have full authorization for this tcode.

Just want to clarify that it is standard functionality of SAP, when we can simulate the Asset document and after simulate it is not allow to park same.

I am just now able to park the document through F-90

You should even be able to park even after the simulation (tried this also successfully)

I do not think it would make any difference.

I cannot test as WT is not activated for our company codes.

Hello Rajesh,

Transaction F-90 is meant to be a posting transaction only. It is not
possible to use it for parking documents.

If some users are required to park documents only please check if they
should rather use transaction F-63 (menu: Accounting -> Finacial acct.
-> Accounts payable -> Postings -> Park invoice) instead of F-90.

Unfortunately the asset information is only allowed for real postings
to assets. You cannot use park function in asset posting. The usage of
an asset as a statistical information was never part of our standard
functionality.

This is not the correct statement. I appreciate, F-90 are usually meant for transaction posting. However, you can EVEN park the documents through F-90.

You cannot see the "Park" node on the initial screen of F-90, however, if we enter the document and simulate, the "Park" node is available and able to park the document.

I do agree with you, but if you tried to park the document with Witholding tax line items?

It is possible to Park the document when there is only two line items:

Line1 -- Asset Line

Line2 -- Vendor Line

But when Withholding tax get calculated after simulation the Park Option will get grayed out.

I cannot comment on this, as I do not have anything with withholding configured.

If it is getting grayed out then it can be presumed as a standard functionality (Provided if you do not have any authorisation issues)

Can you park an invoice document in F-63 with withholding tax line items?

If the answer is yes, then you should also be able to do it in F-90, otherwise, No.

Hello Ravi/Rajesh,

The document Parking is basically to capture & store the details which

are entered by the user for further approvals & it will not trigger

any automatic calculation during parking. Only at the time of posting

system will trigger the calculation logic & post the automatic line

items. Therefore, tax line item will not  show in parked document. The system is working as designed.

Also the function to simulate is not available in
parking(FBV0). The withholding tax is not visible in any line item but
if you display the withholding tax box of the first position, you can
display the saved data.

Kindly note that system will not generate any automatic line item like
withholding tax line or sales tax line during Park document. It is
working as per the system design. Only at the time of posting system
will trigger the calculation logic & post the automatic line items.

I can recollect vaguely, the withholding tax line item does not appear at the time of parking, but after posting that gets calculated.
