EHP 7 with HR reneal 2.0

Hi Everyone,

I have recently done EHP 7 upgrade along with HR Renewal 2.0(MSS was there before and this is no longer supported by EH7) in the development ECC system and found that the HR renewal was not perfomed during the actual upgrade using SUM tool. but i could see them availabl in SAINT tool and performed the HR renewal after the EHP 7 was upgraded

my question is, can't we include HR renewal 2.0 also with the actual EHP7 upgrade, so that it wil be applied with the single downtime. because it is upgrading SAP_HR and EA_HR from 604 to 608, it is running for more than 8 hrs and i dont want this to happen in the Test envioenmnet

As far as I know it is possible to update the SAP_HR and EA_HR to the target level. I believe you need to include them (HCM components or Add HR packages) in the stack file while generating it.

can you please suggest, what Landscape pattern to be selected for my 'Technical system' under 'product system' in LMDB?

My ECC system has only dependency on Portal which is used for ESS/MSS

can anyone please let me know what should i understand from the following warnings from MOPZ

1.It is required to update to EA-HR 607 SAPK-60726INEAHR to avoid functional downgrade for RED-rhsdsqloc01 (target SP stacks contain SAPK-60723INEAHR )

2.Upgradable add-ons for MSS ADD-ON 1.0 are not in the installable add-on list - This is because MSS does not support EHP 7. I have selected HR renewal 2.0 as this is its next Version of MSS

3.Component RWD HELP LAUNCHPAD 4300_700 without suitable Product Instance

4. Component BP-SOLBLD 70V3 without Product Instance

5. Component BP-ERP 604V5 without Product Instance

6. Software Component Version EA-HRCQA 606 unknown

I am confussed. the below screen shows EA-HR 607 only till 14. but the previous MOPS warning suggested to go till 607 26. what is "EA-HR 607 Upgrade" means. even if this upgrade, it will do only till 23 then how can i include the package 24,25,26 as recommended by MOPZ. should i uncheck EA-HR 608 components and re do the upgrade??!!

I thing the screen which you are share is right one. because EA_HR current level to latest with SP in between its shows the version upgrade from 607 to 608

What is the issue you have ? if you are able to see the HR components then like I have told you before you just need to create the stack file and upgrade the system.

Do the upgrade on a sandbox and check if the upgrade goes well.

Could you check the EHP 7 SP Stacks information. Are you calculate the SP stack from Solution Manager? what is the version of Solution Manager?

i have two entries present under Product Systems, in SMSY. Only the 2nd entry has updated Software component version details.

Your system information are updated in Solman 7.1? during the MOPZ you can find the HR components?

In that case you have to remove the enter in SMSY on you solman which is not require one. check the system information are updated in SLD & LMDB on solution manager. After that you can do the fresh calculate MOPZ

Hi Shiv,

The landscape pattern depends of the other system and their integration with your ECC system.

If you having problems in generating, make sure correct association are done in LMDB. You may run verification check and see for suggestions.

Also, I would suggest to use SUM in place of SPAM/SAINT.

Not sure if you read my query. just to brief you, i am having problem including HR renewal 2.0 add-on to the EHP 7 upgrade. even i want to use SUm instead of SAINT/SPAM. i was able to do the EHP upgrade using SUM tool but although HR renewal was selected during MOPZ and available in the EPS/IN folder, the SUM tool did not apply them during DOWNTIME. instead, i could see them available in the SAINT. then ii had to do a manual SAONT upgrade for HR renewal. wanted to check if this is the normal proces to apply HR renewal 2.0 or we can make SUM to appl them along with the EHP 7 upgrade.

Please give specific answers rahter thean genral
