Unable to start a SAP Basis Career

Hi,

    My name is Tamim , I am from Bangalore . I hold a Degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering .

I have a total of 5.4 Years of Experience as System Engineer / Administrator . Done certifications MCSE ( Microsoft ) and CCNA ( Cisco ).

I thought of changing my profession and consulted some of my friends and well wishers for a good and challenging career and decided

to take up SAP Basis Administrator / Consultant .

I did a course n training in SAP Basis Net Weaver 7.0 from a reputed training centre n started find job

BUT I STUCK  from the last Feb i am unable to find or any opening for Basis fresher or as a trainee as well .

Please guide or Help with the same .... i just want to over come this situation and Work in the same stream as SAP Basis Administrator  / Consultant ( trainee )

Hi,

There are very few openings for SAP freshers in the market,instead you need to find a small and medium company on sap who takes the freshers without salary but you get the live and Genuine experience.

Dear

you get installed sap on you laptop and start doing practice for some months you need to get help from one of your friend who is already in BASIS or there are many sites available on net and try to

take job as fresher or trainee in small firms do practice following activities

If you want take up job in basis you need good hand on some os flavors or db activities all basis tcodes related to basis

Hi Tamim,

You have to take different strategy when you search for a fresher job.  Breaking into first new things always take a time and apply a new strategy every month to get your job what you want.

1. Have you connected with HR's through LinkedIn and connected with company pages?

2. Are you following all IT companies on Twitter because I am getting at least one post per week for fresher in different areas?

3. Are you following Facebook company pages and connected Company HR pages?

4. Have you connected with known SAP guys who are already working in SAP, because most of the time freshers walk-in email go to Internal company emails to forward to their friends.

5. Talk to job portal recruitment companies and ask them whether they can update you on any fresher post.

You have to really work hard to get into SAP as a fresher.
