Export and Import of Configuration Data

Hi guys

I need to transport the configuration data for some collaboration rooms from DEV > QA, and later from QA > PROD. All environments are running SPS11.

I have tried using this guide http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/en/e1/029c414c79b25fe10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm, but I don't understand why a pcd!3aportal_content!2fadministrator!2fsuper_admin!2fsuper_admin_role!2fcom.sap.portal.system_administration!2fcom.sap.portal.ConfigColl file is created when I finalize the export instead of a .configarchiv file as promised by the documentation.

How am I supposed to import this file into my QA-environment? If I enter Actions > Import, and try to import, I get the error message "Enter a valid configuration archive name".

The configuration data that needs to be transported is located in Collaboration > Room Categories, Collaboration > Room Part Categories and Collaboration > Room > Stores.

How can I make this work? I would be really nice if I didn't have to transport these configuration settings by hand.

Any help will be rewarded!

Best regards,

Martin

Hi Detlev

Yup, your answer was of value, since I initially renamed the file to .ConfigArchive

Kind regards,

Hi Martin,

did you try just to rename this file to .configarchive (exactly, including only lower case letters)?! The import does not accept anything else, even if exports create different postfixes... 😐

For the general topic see http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/e3/d9f74122c9c417e10000000a155106/frameset.htm (which maybe you already know)

Hope it helps
