No Profile Found in RZ10

Hi All,

I just performed a fresh installation of ECC 6 EPH7, and as far as I know the installation succeed without no error, but I don't know why there is no instance profile in RZ10.

the SAP management console reflected all in GREEN and DB is running. I tried to create a profile but unable to do so it said profile does not exist, etc...

my question is how to enable to default profile from here? or do I need to perform any step post installation to enable the profile?

Thank you,

Regards,

Ura

try RZ10-Utilities->Import Profile->Active servers

If it is 7.3 system you can see only

1 Default profile per SAP System, 1 instance profile per instance.

it shows something like this \\<hostname>\sapmnt\SYS\profile\....

it should be a local directory, right? e.g. F:\usr\sap\<instance>\SYS\profile\....

any idea how to fix this?

Hi

Delete and Recreate the profile as mention in the link

Hi,

Please check the value for profile parameter DIR_PROFILE.

And I don't think it's necessary to change it if there is no problem. I have a test system which has the same setting and there is no problem.

Thanks.

I tried but still unable to,

I noticed something is odd, as when I tried to create new it always return me to this path

\\<hostname>\sapmnt\ERR\SYS\profile\ZPROFILE_ERR

whereby it should be on local e.g. F:\usr\sap\ERR\SYS\profile\ZPROFILE_ERR

anyone have any idea to fix this?

Hi Ura,

That is this zprofile_err ?

Can you please goto profile directory and check instance and default profile ?

Have you tried utilities - import profile - active server as i asked you before ?

Check permission of profiles from OS level.

There is no problem with the path if that can be accessed.  Check that from AL11.

I found the temporary solution which is to rename the profile file in txt

originally

DIR_PROFILE = \\<hostname>\sapmnt\ERR\SYS\profile

to

DIR_PROFILE = F:\usr\sap\ERR\SYS\profile

and I can see my profile now in RZ10.

This is correct, it is this parameter that defines the location of profile directory.
