How to calculate average value?

Hi all,

I'm using Lumira 1.15. I'm doing some practices with the sample dataset BestRunCorp... I want to calculate the average value of gross margin which is grouped by lines so that I can use a line chart to show the difference between the gross margin value and average value.

How can I achieve this ?

Best regards,

Shuang

Hi - I haven't checked the numbers, but would this work:

I am on 1.19 - is there a reason you are still using 1.19?  I just changed the aggregation for Gross Margin using the gear icon.

Hi Tammy,

Thank you. I have tried this way but I don't understand the way he use to calculate the average value. I mean that like the "gross margin" line in your picture, I think it should be a horizontal line which is the result of "(gross margin) / 12",12 is the number of lines items.

Thanks

It looks like it calculates the average based on the dimension

See below:

If you take the "Best run" Excel file, sort by country, calculate the average in Excel, it matches Lumira's 4,056 (for Argentina)

I am not sure I follow your divide by 12 logic?

Well I think I found the reason.

The 12 is the number of lines items (Shirt waist, Accessories ....). I mean that the total of gross margin divdide by 12.

Thanks.
