Dear Experts
I'd like to configure the number of password attempt in the login screen.
But, I don't know how to configure it. If you know, please give me some advice.
Regards,
Ichida
Dear Ichida,
this is a setting in the "Security Policies" that you can define in the
"Application and User Management" work center (Common tasks -> "Edit security policy").
In the user account master data you then assign a "Security Policy" to every user (same workcenter -> Business users). You could e.g. use different policies for different groups of users.
In addition to the number of attempts you can restrict the maximal validity and the complexity of the passwords (length, must have upper/lower case, must have special characters etc). There is a help center article "Security Policies Quick Guide" with further details.
Best regards
Michael

Dear Ichida,
sorry, you are right, the number of failed attempts is not part of the security policy password settings, and, at least for normal system logons, obviously cannot be set individually (I think locked with the 6th wrong attempt).
(btw For Mobile app logon (I understand this is not what your question was about) there is a setting for max attempts, that you see in the Security Policy once you check the "App Password Enabled" checkbox, however here it has a different flavour as that is about the deletion of local mobile app data.)
Regards
Michael
