Using Kapsel without SMP direct gateway

Is it possible to use Kapsel without SMP and directly connect to gateway.

Stephen is right, you can use kapsel plugins without SMP too.

Note, it is also possible to use the Logon plugin to register against a SAP Netweaver Gateway server.  To do so, simply enter the host, user name, password, port and via the context object specify "communicatorId":"GATEWAY".  Note that when registering against SAP Netweaver Gateway the client password policy can be set by modifying Resources/MAFLogonManagerNG.bundle/MAFLogonOperationContextDefaultValues.plist on iOS.

You must understand Kapsel is a set of plugins for enhancing Apache cordova functionality such as appUpdate, push notifications, logon etc.

There are openly available cordova plugins that you can use in your app development but that app will not be kapsel based app. (will not have access to smp server and its functionality)

What is your exact requirement?

Hi Kaushik,

My understanding is Yes it's possbile but it depends on what plugin you're planning to use without SMP. The majority of plugins focus on SMP integration but the Barcode Scanner or Encrypted Storage plugins for instance will work without SMP.

What plugin(s) are you planning to use?
