Hi,

I need to uninstall two application servers forever both are only JAVA systems. These systems has SMD configuration.

I can stop the SMD and uninstall these application servers using sapinst and they are gone from SLD. My question is how I should remove these systems from solution manager.  If i uninstall them then also these system SMD configuration in solution manager wont be deleted. Want to know how can i delete it from my SLD, SOLUTION MANGER (SMSY,LMDB)

I want to know the definition of removing these servers from WILY in solution manager.

How i can remove it from SMSY and LMDB of solution manager?

Should I process from SMSY and select those systems and delete them directly?

Hi,

Stop the system and agents.

Refer - Delete_Managed_System - SAP Solution Manager Setup - SCN Wiki

Once cleanup done, check the entries from SMSY, LMDB and SLD.

If the exist - you may have to remove them manually.

Let LMDB and SMSY get resynced - you can re-validate again.

Hi Srivastava,

Thanks for the reply,

once I stop the SMD and the sap services.

Can I clean it using SMSY. Deleting manually the 2 application servers from the ladscape components, technical systems and the overview.

Thanks

Hi,

Once you stop the agents and remove the SLD datasupplier from your java server nodes, you can remove it and it's associated parts.

Once everything is stopped you can proceed further.

I believe, you need to check other places like Solution and logical components etc too, you can start removing them recursively. That is my logical assumption.

A total cleanup requires you to consider where else you have used this system in solution manager.

Hi Divyanshu,

This really helped me. I am at a last stage, how can I remove the systems from investigator - introscope- workstation [solution manager]. I want to remove only the application sevrers which I am uninstalling. I dont want to touch the other systems which are in the investigator.

Please find the attached png file. I have selected those two servers which want to remove it from the investigator.

Thanks in advance

Hi,

If you follow the above note for WILY which was posted, which says:

"....but you still have old superdomains listed in the Wily Investigator and Webview"

The solution is given in that note itself.

Once all is done, take a restart of Wily.
