MOPZ Issue

Hi !

I have an SRM Java Ehp3 stack sitting on Netweaver Java 7.4.

We wish to update the SP's for the Netweaver stack...however; in MOPZ when I start a transaction, it considers the Netweaver stack as "new" green in color instead of the usual "blue".

SLD, LMDB & SMSY are at par with each other & show both the Product Versions with the correct SP levels.

The Logical Component sits under Netweaver...

Please help advise what may be wrong, since the file that results with the above screenshot gives the below error in SUM:

Error: The system description in the provided stack.xml does not match your system. In the stack, the described release 740 is different from release 731, which is detected in your system. Generate a new stack.xml that matches your system. For more information, see TargetSystemVersionReport.html

MOPZ is basically not "detecting" Netweaver 7.4 as "already installed" on my system.

The SP's in the stack however are correct.

Solman version: 7.1 SP 12

Please help...

Thanks a lot !

saba.

Hi !

Yes...did c this & if it wasn't for this I'd still be struggling probably

1. The folders were indeed missing from bootstrap...not sure how since its a new install & I've applied other BP's successfully...

2. Copied the 2 folders over from an old backup

3. Restarted SUM

& SUM sailed through beautifully

Thanks !!!

Hi guys!!!

Please help me!!!

I have exactly the same problem with updating EPH7 for ERP6 Java AS.

It based on NW 7.4 but SUM says 'NW 7.31 detected'.

I have read Stack error using SUM Tool and SAP Note 1794179 but I don't clearly understand how to update CORETOOLS only.

When I try to do it with SUM (Manualy prepared folder with CORETOOLS only package) SUM says 'cannot be updated because of it part of stack.xml'.

Does I need to generate stack.xml for coretools only? How?

Or I need to upgrade NW SP level prior to ERP SP?

Hi Alexander,

In my case, I had 2 folders: datasets & scripts missing from the j2ee\cluster\bootstrap folder.....(not sure how, since mine was a new installation).

On copying these over from an old backup, SUM decided to ignore all errors n moved ahead without a hitch.

I did not update CORETOOLS or anything...

Hope this helps

Thanks !
