Hello All,

I have started Solution Manager upgrade from 7.01 to 7.1. Started SUM and it is stuck in Extraction phase at step PREP_EXTRACT/BEGIN_PRE.

Our database is SAP MaxDB.

Below is the error message.

Severe error(s) occurred in phase PREP_EXTRACT/BEGIN_PRE!

Last error code set: put_call_exe call (xuser) failed with return code '-1'<br/>

Attached also screen shot for the same.

I have followed SAP Note 39439 and maintained xuser entries as suggested. But still I face this issue.

Anyone has idea on this. Please help.

Thanks,

Srikanth

Hello Guys,

Figured out the problem. Actually SAP System was moved from actual server to Virtual machine on the server. In this process some of the DB configuration got corrupted. And this activity was done by one of our previous employees.

Since this was a standalone system, I took backup of all current configuration and uninstalled SAP and installed new Solman 7.1 SPS12. Issue is resolved now.

Thank you guys once again for looking into this.

Best Regards,

Srikanth

Hi Srikanth,

Do you any more log files ?

Did you check PAM for your OS/DB patch support ?

1481369 - Release of MaxDB Version 7.8 for older SAP versions

Please raise this with SAP for support.

If there are other logs then please share here.
