Dear Sirs;

our products Air distribution systems and we are using Vulcan Trimble CAD.

we are using re-entry BOM method in SAP but we faced problem in the huge possibilities may be reach to 3500 possibilities.

Is there any other way for create BOM in SAP "like integration with CAD software"?

SAP 3D Visual Enterprise includes the Planner which does exactly that - create/maintain Material Masters and BOMs using the model as a source.  3DVE includes support for hundreds of 3D and 2D input file types including the major CAD and BIM formats.  See here for more information: SAP 3D Visual Enterprise Planner – SAP Help Portal Page.

3D Visual Enterprise includes very good solution for products designed By SolidWorks or similar to it,and we are using solidworks.

But the Problem we have another products designed by Vulcan Trimble CAD this software can't export 3D.

1. Is it possible import Full BOM from Vulcan Trimble CAD to SAP directly?
2. And in this case we must define all this items for SAP Before"may reach to 3000 and more possibility"?

or SAP can read this BOM

I checked with some colleagues, and none of us are aware of support for Trimble Vulcan.  For situations like this, 3D Visual Enterprise offers a robust SDK which allows development by SAP, partners, or customers of custom importers.  If you cannot export from Trimble Vulcan to an interim file format (3D or 2D) that is supported by 3DVE, then this might be your only route.

My question we must define all possibilities to SAP "befor" or SAP can read this BOM and it understand this BOM.?

My apologies for the delay.  The 3DVE application has ability to read information from the source file or drawing - for example material IDs, metadata, and structure/hierarchy - which can then be loaded into SAP ERP.
