Hi Albert,

If your DB is Oracle, please use the BR Tools for table reorganization to shrink the table. you can do reorganization in online.

Please refer the below link:

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw73/helpdata/en/46/adf8c2c5b462d1e10000000a1553f7/content.htm

If you are using SQL database, the space is still not released after the mass deletion of logs, you can try to shrink the database or data files.

http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-IN/library/ms189035.aspx and http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms190757.aspx

Note: Please take necessary precaution methods before you perform the activity for safer side. (taking backup of the db, performing the activity when no user logged in SAP etc.,)

Thanks and regards,

Pradeep

Hi Albert,

Follow below steps

1) Using SLG2 delete the data based on time frame. Specify correct date inputs , client and user settings.

2) Verify from database table using SE16, whether entries have got deleted for the input parameters mentioned in your execution

3) Post deletion perform table reorg to shrink the table size.

Hope this helps.

Hi Albert

After deletion of the BALDAT table, you have to perform the table level reorg & rebuild the index to get the disk space based on your database

Could you share your DB details?
