No Connections in the 730 GUI

I have a number of students that are having difficulty installing the 730 GUI. They report that the installation seems to go well, but the server list does not populate even when Connections is selected in the left hand window. I know one student is using a Mac but I can't say that all of them experiencing this problem are.

Any thoughts on what causes this problem?

Hi Geoff,

Are you using just the DVD to install from?  If so the saplogon.ini isn't packaged with the DVD media.  If your instructor PC is displaying the connections I would recommend you just email to your students this file.

You can by default find this file on Windows 7 under C:\Users\<user ID>\AppData\Roaming\SAP\Common.  Now AppData may be set as a hidden system file so you my need unhide this.

They are being directed to Chico, our hosting center and are instructed to download the ini file in addition to the 730 light. Evidently that isn't happening.

Hi Geoff,

Yes something is amiss between the students PC's and the hosting center.  If your PC connections are working you can have your students modify their setting's by mirroring yours.

Jude Bradley provided an excellent visual for what it should be like.
