How to avoid SEM-BPS Lock entries

I have created numerous Areas, Multi-Areas, Levels…, but mainly functions to respond to specific requirements. The most part of these functions only read data, don’t update it.

I’m having lots of problems with locks. I tried to solve the most part recurring to the Program UPC_ENQUEUE_READ, and through a table named ZGD_LOCK_CHAS, witch have as fields the client, planning folder and characteristic. This table was created due to a note found in OSS.

This procedure didn’t solve my problems.

Is there any way to avoid the functions (only the ones who only read data) from blocking each other?

Best regards
