ANLHTXT Field in Asset Master data (Tcode: AS91)

Hi Experts,

I have to update the ANLHTXT (Asset main number text Field) in Asset Master data (Tcode: AS91) as per requirement, but I cannot see the field on screen of AS91 transaction.

Please can you suggest how I can update this fild in AS91 transaction.

Sudhir,

is it an updating or Asset creation? For main number text updating you may use AS02 and AS92. Otherwise check below comment to check field status for master data.

Hi,

please go to Environment tab -> Screen Layout -> Master Data

Select the Layout and click the Logical field groups. Then, select 1. General Data and click Field Group rules and click the change icon. (the one with pen and eyeglasses)

select 07 Asset main no. text and change it to "optional" and save.
