Hello,

I want to send e-mails between two different internal SAP-Systems. I already configured SMTP in both systems but ist not possible to send an e-mail from system A to system B.  I've got following error message:

Cannot process message; no node determined for <sapuser>:

Thanks in advance & best regards,
Christoph

Hello Divyanshu,

thanks for your answer. I did all necessary steps mentioned in this thread but it still doesn't work. When I want to send an e-mail to an SAP-User in another system I can't even see the user name in the selection screen from recipient tab therefore I've got an error message that this user don't exist.

Do you have further ideas how to solve the problem?

Best regards,
Christoph

Hi Christoph,

The thought process I have is as follows

1) Configure SMTP in both SAP systems to send as well as received messages in their SAP inbox.

2) When you send emails from one SAP system to other SAP system , you can use email ID configured for the user in other SAP system instead of SAP USER ID.

Hope this helps.

Hello Deepak,

thanks for this answer. I already tried to use the e-mail instead of SAP User but it still doesn't work, after sending following error message appears:

No delivery to <e-mail address from sap user >

Hi Chris,

A user which is in remote system cannot be visible for above process in your sending system.

Perhaps, you need to use the email ID of that user to send email.

Hi Christoph,

Please check your SCOT settings

1) Default domain is correctly maintained

2) Email id is maintained for the user through which email is being sent

3) SMTP relaying is activated for the SAP server IP addresses withing Mail server.

Hello Deepak,

now, I can send an email from user of System A but the email goes to the outlook inbox of user from System B and not to System B itself. The third point you mentioned, where can I configure the  relaying?

Best regards,
Christoph

That is correct, It would go to a user only..

yes, but it is possible that the email for user from System B is also available in the system itself(transaction so01) and not only in his outlook inbox?

In that case you can use a distribution list and add all users to it.

Hi Christoph,

but it is possible that the email for user from System B is also available in the system itself(transaction so01) and not only in his outlook inbox?

As the email is sent from System A. It will be available under SOST of system A.

As user in System B is receiving the email, it will be appearing in users inbox.

Check with Mail server administrator on where to enable SMTP relaying for IP address of SAP server.

Hope this helps.

Yes, but in users outlook inbox and not the inbox of business workplace (so01) from system B.
