Hello Experts,

Can you please let me know how do I go about integerating Lotus Notes in BPM?

My requirement is send mails from BPM to Lotus notes to approve?

I am using SAP PO BPM version 7.31.

Thanks,

Do you want to approve out of the mail or just send notification for a BPM task?

As Tobias has said, we need some more information to be able to help you.  If you want to simply send notifications then they are sent via normal email, and if your users use their Lotus Notes client to read those emails they will be able to act on them (open the BPM inbox or tasks directly, to process them.)

If you share a bit more about your requirements maybe more people will be able to help you out.

Cheers,

G.

Hi Tobias,

We are having both the functionality, we also need to send notifications on Lotus Notes and also get approvals from the user on Lotus Notes.

I want to know how do I integrate Lotus Notes on SAP BPM so that norifications and approval tasks can be sent on Lotus Notes.

Also, is there any config on NWA needs to be done?

Thanks,

Ami

Did you try to configure notifications as suggested above or do you need more complex integration ?

Hi,

Can you let me know the if I need to integrate any Lotus Notes Adapter with BPM? Or by just SMTP config in NWA I am good to go to send notifications on Lotus Notes?

Also, how can I have Approve/Reject scenario on Lotus Notes?

Can help me with some steps?

Thanks,

Ami

You don't need to use any adapter. SMTP configuration is enough to get notifications in your Lotus Notes inbox.

If you want to implement approve / reject scenario on Lotus Notes you will need to make some developments on both Lotus Notes and BPM sides. The details will depend on your scenario. I suggest you to investigate BPM API and also BPM OData services to access BPM functionality from Lotus Notes.
