SRM 7.03 SP3 upgrade dependency analysis on BI system/BI reporting

Hello All,

We are planning to upgrade our SRM 5.5 to SRM 7.03 SP3.

When checked in upgrade dependency analyzer, it showed the dependency on BI system.

We have BI 7.02 SP13 in our landscape and even I checked the dependecny with NW 7.31 it says the dependency needs to be resolved.

Which implies BI upgrade will not resolve the dependency.

As per my understanding BI is used for reporting from SRM so what needs to be taken care in this SRM upgrade from BI front.

Any configuration needs to be taken care of post upgrade?

Any suggestions on this?

Hi Sheetal,

If your reporting does not change in BI, then there is no need to change anything in BI cubes. The same cube can be utilized.

In case, the reporting need a fresh look then you would need to define a new cube and then need to identify the extractors to populate data within new cubes.

Just analyse BI/ SRM patches for compatibility.

I think the information which you have provided can only be checked post upgrade. I will still discuss this with out BI consultant.

Well, if the scope of the project is just to upgrade SRM then surely there is no reporting change?
