Hi All,
In my project we have 20 Info cubes loading data in production. In the process chain, after loading data to Info cube, we have Create Index and DB Statistics. I am planning to keep DB Statistics of all Info Cubes in a seperate Process Chain. Is there any problem in keeping DB Statistics seperately. Because there are some data loads has to finish on a specific time. So i am planning to keep seperate process chain in the last only for DB Statistics for all Infocubes. Please suggest.
Thanks.
Hi,
If you want to create a separate PC for DB Statistics may be another chain should be created for rolling up aggregates.
In that case it should be created a special logic preventing rolling the aggregate if there was an error during loading associated infocube . Everything becomes a bit difficult.

Hi,
No issues, You can use new chain and add DB Spastics steps. But before running DB statistics chain Your loading chain need to finish and after that need to run new chain.
But better to use DB Statistics step after the create index step in your data load chain.
If you use like above as separate chains, user can't do report after data load completion. they need wait to finish your DB chain as well. .
Discuss with your TL or clients and take decision.
Thanks
