SAP Netweaver 7.4 Information require

Hi,

I have downloaded SAP Netweaver 7.4 from SMP and found the below components.

1. NW 7.4 SR1 Installation Export

2. NW 7.4 SR1 Java based SW Comp.s

3. NW 7.4 SR1 Upgrade Export

4. NW AS ABAP for SuiteNW 7.4 - Enhancement Packages

5. SAP CONTENT SERVER 6.50

6.SAP Kernel 7.41 Windows Server on x64 64bit

7.BI Content 7.57 Installation

But while installing it's only asking to give the file location of

1. SAP Kernel 7.41 Windows Server on x64 64bit

2. NW 7.4 SR1 Installation Export

3. NW 7.4 SR1 Java based SW Comp.s 1 of 7 ( if installing PI or JAVA Based)

Please suggest how i can install the rest of the component also while installing the S/W or

is there any other steps

You cannot install an ABAP stack and the Content Server in one single run of sapinst. You should first install the ABAP or Content Server and once finished then start the second installation. The installer does not need all the files you have downloaded. It will take only the files based on the installation type you have selected in the initial screen. If the packages are not correct then it will throw an error.

Please read master guides and installation guides.

You should know what product you plan to install and usage type. Based on you decision and selection, you are asked to give inputs.

There is nothing wrong the installer, please refer guides.

Thank you for the suggestion, I have read through the all document and again i tried again, but still in intallation process it's not asking the provide the BI or other component other than

1. SAP Kernel 7.41 Windows Server on x64 64bit

2. NW 7.4 SR1 Installation Export

3. NW 7.4 SR1 Java based SW Comp.s 1 of 7 ( if installing PI or JAVA Based)

with BI and other components.

I have downloaded all the related components from the SMP.

And what is the product selections that you have made on the 1st screen ?

Hi Divyanshu,

I have selected the SAP Netweaver 7.4 (MaxDB-Standard System). from the 1st screen.

In next screen, it asked for select the Kernal File location->SAP Export File->Max DB.

Hi Praveen,

To install Netweaver 7.4 ABAP, you need to select

MAxDB - Application server ABAP and install standard system.

Now, whatever information is asked, provide it.

To install "SAP CONTENT SERVER 6.50" - you have to refer it's guide as this is a standalone unit.
