Design studio application name not coming up correctly in launchpad

Hello,

We have published our design studio applications in BI Launchpad but whenever we run the application, the name of tab in which the application loads always shows up as Loading.. while we expect the actual application name to appear. Has anyone come across this issue? If so, what is to be done to display the actual application name.

BOBJ version - 4.1

DS version - 1.3

Has any application ever worked for you in any of the browser?

Well, I too tried to run a Design Studio application in other browsers. Not sure, but try running applications only through Internet Explorer.

Second thing to confirm, when you run the application locally, does it load fine in IE?

Try this basic step, do not create any data connection/source, just pull in components and run it locally as well as from platfrom. Let us know the behavior.

Check version of IE, it should be 9 or above.

Hi Pukhraj,

I have seen this issue at a client I have worked for.

I have a local VMware SBOP running, which does not have this issue.

Both are on BI 4.1 SP4 and DS 1.3 SP1 add-on.

I am not able to verify whether the clients server is load balanced, but I would believe so.

Mike - The browser doesn't matter here, the issue is seen on Chrome, IE and Firefox.

Tammy - We are on 4.1 Sp3 patch1. Will keep you posted on the response I get in the OSS message

We did the test in Internet Explorer, Google Chrome and Firefox and it does not work in any of these browsers.

Hi - it should show loading first, while it is loading, and then the application name - see below:

Does it still show loading after you launch the application?  What version of Design Studio are you using?  What version of the platform?

I am on BI4.1 SP4 Design Studio 1.3 SP1

Hi Tammy.

The application name never comes up even after loading completely. We are on BI 4.1 and design studio 1.3. Haven't upgraded to the support package yet on 1.3

I wonder if going up to DS 1.3 SP1 is the difference?  Could you try that?

Currently this is not an option as we have no plans to upgrade to SP 1 in the near future. Any other suggestions are much appreciated.

We are already on version 1.3 SP1 and we still have this issue - we already created an OSS message for this issue but no answer yet.
