Material is not defined for sales org.1000, distr.chan.10, language DE

Hi,

I have a configurable material named T_Motorcycle. It is created under sales organization 1000, distribution channel 10 and division 00 and language DE(German) is also added in the additional data tab for all the material.

I have a customer named T_customer who is also created under company code 1000, sales organization 1000 and distribution channel 10 and division 00. He also has the language DE. Screenshots of the customer master data, material master data and the super BOM is attached for your reference.

But still when I try to create a sales order in VA01 I get the error " Material T_MOTORCYCLE is not defined for sales org.1000, distr.chan.10,  language DE".

I don't know what went wrong. I am writing my master's degree thesis related to Variant configuration and don't have much experience with SAP functional areas.

Please advice me what might possibly go wrong here.

Hi Kishor Patil and Suneet Prakash!

That seems to be the problem. The organizational levels were correct but in BOM items but no language was maintained. Changed it and see works fine now.

yes I have. Did not find a relevant one for me, in my case all the entries seem to be right but still it did not work out.

Hi,

Please check if each of material in the BOM are present in the Sales Area that you want to create the order.

Hi,

Please check your sales area which you are providing in the initial screen of VA01. Also please check whether you have maintained the division in the material master or not.

Language has to be maintained in additional data tab as well so can you please check it out and confirm.
