Predefining Bin Size by Bin Type

Hello,

In EWM, how do I go about predefining the respective length, width and height for various bin types? Is this a user-based function, or does this need to be coordinated with IT prior to EWM go live?

For instance, if I want to define a standard pallet location (type P010) or shelf (type S010) that is X width by Y length and Z height, how would I do that? I know the X, Y, Z coordinates define a specific point for that location in the graphical warehouse layout. I am just unsure how to assign a certain value of area/size to a bin.

Any advice would be extremely helpful!
