created generic extractor in BW(not R/3) rsa3 is OK but data not in PSA

Former Member

Hello,

I created a generic extractor in BW system (not R/3) this is on table created by BPC in the backend for comments.

I created gen extractor in BW, data coming in rsa3, created info pack, executed it, data not coming into PSA. Showing Yellow status.

Any clues please.

Regards,

Krishna

Hi,

You need to replicate your data source into bw.

Go to RSA1--> data source, and replicate under related application component.

As source you need to select your bw system.

at source system --> you have  bw to bw connection parameters, check that.

Have you proper configurations at backend tables.

Backend table may need to BW server as source and target.

Seems like its connectivity issue.

that's why records are not processing.

check about Partner profiles.

take basis team help and do it.

Thanks

I checked all you said. I did replicate in RSDS but still does't update PSA.

I attached the analysis screen shot if that helps. I checked RFC connection and We20/21 all OK.

Thanks

at bw side check SM58 and see any failed/red queues in queue. if yes then delete and re trigger your info pak and see the results.

One thing I notice is when I try to go to manage it does not automatically take me. It asks for the password everytime. Not sure why the automatic logon is not happening. Does it say anything?

thats you can check with basis team.

one more thing, you have enough authorsations to run data loads in bw server? if not then try to run your info pack thru process chains. it may pulls data.

Hi Ram, this is a sand box system and there is no Basis team to approach for these sort of things.

If you can point out where to look at I can do and try to sort on my own.

Please help if you know what settings needs to be looked.

Thanks

Hello Ram,

even I tried with PC, it says the same..while I refresh after scheduling, at step of loading info pack, it prompted me to login. I am sure it has to do something with basis setting but if you knw what it is, pls let me know.

Thanks

Thanks for that I think there should be self connection to process data transfers from within BW system. Like from one layer to another in BW system. May be that's missing. This is a new system therefore so many issues are coming out.

As new system, system connections may not be in proper.

So ask basis team rectify all connections as bw dev.

After that you can try your loads.

Check SM59 connection to source system

and you can also check it in RSA1-> source.system from the context menu.

Maybe IDocs are not set properly.

Helli I checked the SM59 and connection tested. All looks OK. I tried to do remote logon, it prompted me to enter password and I could get in.

But when I tried to do RSA1 --> Source systems --> BW node --> System number right click --> check. I get the attached message. Does it mean anything.

As my guess you may need update support packages for your bw version.

Mean while  try to activate your bw - bw connections, later replciate ata source and check it.

if it have the same issue, then look for oss note.

May be I will look at some OSS notes as well. I did an Activated BW from source system context menu and replicated as well. I checked executing after that but with the same result.

Thanks

Hi, it is solved. The cause is the username pwd maintained in the Self RFC connection maintained. For some reason when I test connection its OK but when I try to click on Remote Logon, it again asks for the pwd.

I tested it giving Current user check box and it all worked fine.

Thanks All again for our interest and help

Krishna

Hi Krishna,

Replicate your Data Source using RSDS. And put there Data Source name and your BW source system. In title bar select Data Source -> Replicate Data Source. After that try.

Thanks for the suggestion, I will try that as of now I can't access the system. This comments tables are generated and are local tables, but I see data in RSA3, will that be an issue at all.

Just in case.
