Crystal page numbering incorrect

I have a report that Crystal Report is printing on two pages, but both pages are being shown as being 1 of 1.

The report uses the special fields Page Number and Total Page Count to display which page is being printed.

I am using Version 14.0.2.354RTM

    Hi Lloyd,

Try using the Special Field Page N of M instead.

Go through your sections and see if the option for Reset Page Number After is on in the Section Expert. That resets the next page to 1 again.

    Thanks,

    Brian

    Brian,

Thank you for your suggestions, but unfortunately using the Special Field Page N of M exhibits the same behavior.

I also checked the section expect and the Reset Page Number After checkbox is not checked.

If you have a crosstab or other object that expands to next horizontal page then report prints on two pages but Page N of M shows 1 of 1

There is a subreport that "pushes" the report to be two pages.

How do I get someone from SAP to determine if this is a bug or not ?

    • Hi Lloyd,

Did you put the page numbers in the Subreport? They should be in the main report because subreports don't have a paging concept. That's controlled by the main report.

    Brian,

The page information is contained within the Page Header, and not within the subreport.

    Hi Lloyd,

What section is the Subreport in?

    • Abhilash,

The subreport is found in a group footer.

Do you have "Reset Page Number After" turned on for any of the sections in the subreport or the main report?

    • That's what's causing the page numbers to reset. Try turning that off and see what happens. If you still need it for resetting page numbers between groups, add it back to the last group footer.
